In 1993, there was the first general assembly or reunion after the death of our late grandmaster Joe Go---wherein Francisco Dan L. Salud, Jr. was the president; and Venson Villamala was the vice president. They tried to connect to all their members hoping to carry the banner of Tat Kon Tou again as one in the public arena.
Today, the authentic Tat Kon Tou of Joe Go (Jose Go Milan) continues to exist among themselves. As of now, we never heard of a Tat Kon Tou club being revived since that time. Tat Kon Tou continues to grow in cells catering to trusted friends and family members.
Many are saying that the elders and pioneers of Tat Kon Tou are really very meager in teaching the secrets of Tat Kon Tou taught by Joe Go.
Perhaps, the rumor is right; and perhaps the elders and pioneers just don't trust them yet.
Trust is a key element for any relationship; and this includes the student-teacher or teacher-student relationship.
"The master seeks to know the heart of the apprentice;
and the apprentice seeks to gain the master's trust." (BrodNeil)
The old way has full of wisdom.
